CA Certification

The CA Certification Program

The CA Certification Program is for CA therapists who have completed levels one and two and wish to become Certified Constructed Awareness Clinicians (CCAC). Please note: You must complete CA levels one and two before enrolling in the Certification Program. If you still need to complete levels one and two, please visit the training page for more information about the prerequisites.

To be certified in CA, you must:

  1. Complete CA levels one and two

  2. Complete twelve hours of CA consultation

  3. Audit and assist at an additional CA level one training

  4. Audit and assist at an additional CA level two training

  5. Participation in a CA-related project

Consultation

The first step in your certification journey is completing 12 hours of consultation. We will partner you with another consulted, and we will work together for six months. All six sessions will be two hours and take place on Zoom. Sessions include instruction, case consultation, personal reflection, and practice time. Please be aware that once you register, finding a partner and scheduling your consultation sessions may take at least one month.

Auditing

To learn CA, it is necessary to immerse yourself in the material and practice. One way to accomplish this is through auditing both levels of training. Revisiting the courses will allow you to experience them again, but this time as a more experienced learner. During the practicum time, you will observe practice groups and offer feedback. As they say, "If you want to learn something, teach it." Assisting in this way will allow you to solidify your CA knowledge by sharing what you know with newer learners.

Participating in a CA Project

The final step to becoming a CCAC is to complete a CA project of your choosing. Your project could be participation in CA research, writing a blog, hosting a CA consultation group, or hosting a training event. We can discuss any idea you have as long as it helps with the development of CA.

Cost

The CA Certification Program costs $849 if you pay the one-time fee. You can also pay six monthly payments of $150 (totaling $900). Click here to enroll in the CA Certification Program

Please Note: CE credit does not apply to consultation hours.

What are people saying about the CA Certification Program?

I cannot recommend the CA certification process highly enough! I was able to deepen my understanding of CA through case consultation and getting feedback in real-time as I practiced CA with my partner. Being able to meet with Tyler and my partner over the course of 6 months gave me the confidence I needed to hit the ground running with CA in my private practice!

There have been many beneficial aspects in the process of becoming certified in Constructed Awareness (CA) that have been helpful to me personally and in honing my skills as a therapist. Throughout the process I have appreciated and benefited from the personal attention in learning and practicing the skills that CA provides. Another valuable aspect of the certification process was being able to audit trainings. I always picked up something new or I was reminded of an aspect of CA I had forgotten about. I also liked being able to share my experience with CA with those learning about it. The certification process increased my confidence as a CA therapist and provided me with another valuable way to process issues with my clients.
