What is the CA Certification Program?
The CA Certification Program is for CA therapists who have completed levels one and two and wish to become Certified Constructed Awareness Clinicians (CCAC). Please note: You must complete CA levels one and two before enrolling in the Certification Program. If you still need to complete levels one and two, please visit the training page for more information about the prerequisites.
To be certified in CA, you must:
Complete CA levels one and two
Complete twelve hours of CA consultation
Audit and assist at an additional CA level one training
Audit and assist at an additional CA level two training
Participation in a CA-related project
Consultation
The first step in your certification journey is completing 12 hours of consultation. We will partner you with another consultee, and we will work together for six months. All six sessions will be two hours and take place on Zoom. Sessions include instruction, case consultation, personal reflection, and practice time. Please be aware that once you register, finding a partner and scheduling your consultation sessions may take at least one month.
Auditing
To learn CA, it is necessary to immerse yourself in the material and practice. One way to accomplish this is through auditing both levels of training. Revisiting the courses will allow you to experience them again, but this time as a more experienced learner. During the practicum time, you will observe practice groups and offer feedback. As they say, "If you want to learn something, teach it." Assisting in this way will allow you to solidify your CA knowledge by sharing what you know with newer learners.
Participating in a CA Project
The final step to becoming a CCAC is to complete a CA project of your choosing. Your project could be participation in CA research, writing a blog, hosting a CA consultation group, or hosting a training event. We can discuss any idea you have as long as it helps with the development of CA.
Please Note: Please Note: CE credit does not apply to consultation hours.
